What are the applications of HEMC in mortar?

Hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose is a non-ionic polymer in the form of white or off-white powder. It has many models and can be used in many kinds of mortars.

 

Cement-based plaster

1. Improve the uniformity, making the plaster mortar easier to apply and improving the resistance to sagging. Enhances flow and pumpability for increased productivity.

2. High water retention extends the open time of mortar, improves work efficiency, and helps the mortar to develop high strength during the solidification period.

3. Control the infiltration of air, thereby eliminating micro-cracks in the coating and forming an ideal smooth surface.


Gypsum plaster and gypsum products

1. Improve the uniformity, making the plaster mortar easier to apply, while improving the ability to resist sag and enhance fluidity and pumpability. Thereby improving work efficiency.

2. High water retention, extending the open time of mortar and producing high mechanical strength during solidification.

3. Form a high-quality surface coating by controlling the consistency of the mortar to be uniform.

Masonry mortar

1. Enhance the adhesion to the masonry surface and enhance water retention, thereby improving the strength of the mortar.
